WHO NEEDS A STYLIST

Everyone sooner or later may need a stylist. When we want our hair done we go to a hair stylist. When we want to get our make up done, we go to a make up artist/stylist. But when we need fashion advise/help, we go to a fashion stylist. There's not many fashion stylists around (especially in my neck of the woods). So when you find one, get in touch with him/her ASAP as you may need a fashion stylist sooner than later.

The following is a list of people who may need a fashion stylist and probably isn't even aware:

  1. The busy mom: Which would include the working mom and the stay-at-home mom. Both have a lot to do and little time to do it. Between their schedules and their kids' schedules, who has time to go shopping? Shopping for work wear, a special event/occasion, a vacation, their personal wardrobe, their children's wardrobe, or even their own wedding!

  2. The career woman: Which is probably an obvious. They are career focused with constant work flow that going shopping would seem more like work than pleasure.

  3. The Bride: Planning a wedding is very stressful. From choosing the right reception location, to the cake, to the invitations...the list goes on and on. Choosing the right dress isn't easy. A fashion stylist can work wonders and seem like a breath of fresh air. A stylist can also help choose your bridal party's attire as well as that can be a job in itself. (The mother of the bride/groom can also seek help from a stylist as this is a stressful time for many.)

  4. The fashion unaware: To put it simple, this person just has no idea what to do with fashion. They don't know trends, how to shop, where to shop, what's correct for their body type, etc. This may often lead to them becoming lazy with themselves. They dress shabbily, messy, or inappropriate.

  5. The fashion horder: This one can't get out of old trends and saves clothes from when they were twelve in hope that they will wear it again. If you haven't worn it in the past 3 years, get rid of it! Yes, certain items can be an exception. But in general there is no reason to hold on to old/retired clothes. Or wear them for that matter. I love vintage pieces! But they are to be worn correctly. Otherwise, you look like you stepped out of an 80s movie! (Or 70s, 90s...you get the picture.)
